Romania Project 3 - Pascani
SHOUTS OF JOY
|
This was the title of an album that Dave Pope recorded in the nineties with the worship leader Don Moen, but it perfectly describes the sound coming from Flame’s new playground construction in Valea Seaca, Romania.
Carefully planned and directed by Calin Rezmuves, Flame’s Practical Assistant, and using the building expertise of friends in Habitat for Humanity, the playground was delivered on time and on budget.
This will be a welcome facility for well over 300 children in the town of Pascani at the school in Valea Seaca. The school is located in a deprived area in a post industrial town and had no outdoor facilities before Flame’s intervention – only an empty plot of land.
The pictures tell their own story, but the letter that has been received from the Mayor of the town is a wonderful endorsement on what has been achieved. Click here to read the letter.
Thank you to all of our Flame partners and friends who gave so generously to enable this playground to be built.
Plans are now being established to develop this initiative. Funding opportunity is being researched, together with linkage with local church involvement to secure ongoing support in the communities where help is needed. Watch this space!
