Romania Project 4 - Brusturoasa

A Flame Trust Appeal for Playground Construction in Brusturoasa, Bacau County, Romania

Background

In 2020, the first playground project appeal enabled a playground to be built in Sighet at a home that looks after the needs of children with disabilities. In 2022, another facility was created in the town of Comanesti to meet a similar situation of challenged children in a kindergarten that had been deprived of support and excluded from local investment. Then in 2023, a third project was completed for Valea Seaca School in Pascani which didn't have any playground or outside facilities.

Calin RezmuvesThese projects were directed and delivered by Calin Rezmuves (right), Flame’s Practical Assistant – originally raised in a Romanian orphanage.  All three projects were delivered on time and within budget, and have received national acclaim. READY, STEADY, GO

Plans are now well in hand for the 4th Playground Project in Brusturoasa, Bacau County, Romania.

Construction will begin on 11th November with help provided by our partners – Habitat for Humanity. Flame’s Calin Rezmuves, will travel out ahead of time to finalise detail and will then help with the construction. Excitement in the village of Brusturoasa is growing by the day!

We are so grateful to the Flame Family for all of the support that has been received. There is still a little way to go to reach our budget target of £20,000, so if you feel you can contribute then that would be deeply appreciated. (Full detail for donations and support are given below).

Please pray over these next few weeks as detail is fine-tuned, and specifically pray during week commencing 10th November, that all will go according to plan.

The pictures, right, show the land that will be used for the new playground, the current old and dangerous equipment, and a site meeting between Calin and representatives from Habitat for Humanity and the local town council.
